Cheers to a Merry Holiday Season with a Snowflake Cocktail
Soothingly sweet, delicious and tropical, this recipe will wow your guests this holiday season. Packed with a lot of flavor and only 3 ingredients.
Make this holiday extra special with this cocktail recipe that is absolutely delicious and super simple to make. Since my caribbean roots are craving for the warmness of the Puerto Rican shores I decided to recreate a winter drink with a tropical refreshing twist.
I have to be honest, initially I decided to make this drink because of the aesthetics. The all-white look caught my attention. Then I realized about how easy it was to make it and gave it a try. With only 3 ingredients you can pull off a cocktail that has been very popular over the internet for quite some time. You can definitely make some changes to the recipe, like I did or simply follow the original recipe.
In Puerto Rico, the traditional Coquito is one of the most popular drinks during the holidays. It’s similar to the eggnog, but without eggs. It has coconut milk, coconut cream, condensed milk, evaporated milk, rum and cinnamon. To make this recipe you blend all the ingredients and serve in a small glass. The Snowflake Cocktail recipe reminded me of the Coquito and decided to give it a try - and, oh boy it was good! To give it an extra kick of flavor I added ground cinnamon and a cinnamon stick for garnish. It was delightful and full of coconut goodness.
You will only need a blender to make this recipe. Just throw all the ingredients and blend until smooth. If you like less coconut flavor you can use regular rum instead of coconut rum. You can put the martini glasses on the freezer for 15 minutes before serving for that extra fancy frozen finish.
Since many of the gatherings will be very small this winter, you can surprise your guests with this recipe and everyone will think you’re a pro. You can double the amount of the ingredients for a larger group.
Check below the complete recipe. I hope you have a wonderful, merry holiday season. Cheers!
